Yellow Aluminium Protective Tape
Our Yellow Aluminium Protective Tape is the most common protective tape in the glass and aluminium industry and is used for protecting powder coated aluminium windows and doors as well as aluminium extrusions and profiles. The tape consists of a strong, water resistant film with a medium to high tack UV resistant adhesive layer. The protective tape offers good surface protection against scratches, cement, paint and other risks during manufacturing, transportation and installation. The product shows excellent adhesion to aluminium surfaces and easily removes without transferring residue for periods of up to 30 days outdoor exposure.

The strong 60 micron Poly Ethylene film offers enhanced UV stability to prevent the tape from becoming brittle even after direct UV exposure, allowing it to be removed in one piece and not breaking into little pieces. The medium to high strength adhesive base will ensure the tape adheres well to most surfaces including natural anodised and powder coated aluminium. It is especially popular in regions with strong winds. The tape also offers low risk of residue glue marks.

How do I choose the right protection tape for my surface type?
- Powder-Coated Aluminium (Standard Gloss/Matt): Use our Yellow Aluminium Protection Tape (up to 30 days) or Premium Blue Tape (up to 6 months).
- Textured / Sand Grain Surfaces: Opt for our Xtra High Tack Protective Tape, specifically engineered to bond securely to rougher extrusions. (Note: Avoid using Xtra High Tack on standard gloss or smooth matt surfaces).
- Natural Anodised Aluminium: Use our Premium Blue, Premium Black, Light Grey, or Premium White protective tapes, as standard yellow tape is not rated for anodised materials.
How long can these tapes be left outside without leaving sticky residue?
